Hi, I’m Nickey!
I’m a wedding, elopement, and portrait photographer based in South Central Alaska—though I’m always ready to travel wherever your story takes me.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From the days of saving up my allowance to buy disposable cameras in the ’90s to experimenting with my parents’ old film cameras, I’ve always been drawn to capturing the world and people around me. What started as a childhood obsession has grown into a deeply fulfilling career—one that allows me to document love, connection, and life’s sweetest milestones.
I specialize in capturing candid, emotion-filled moments that tell your story in a way that feels genuine and true to you. Whether it’s an intimate elopement or a big wedding celebration, I use prompts that encourage playful, natural movement so that your photos reflect who you truly are—not stiff poses or forced smiles. It’s an honor every time I’m invited into the sacred spaces of your life and I approach every session with a deep sense of gratefulness.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me exploring the outdoors, painting with a cup of tea in hand, or laughing with friends and family. I’m inspired by the ocean, storytelling, faith, and the wild beauty of Alaska. Being Alaska born and raised, watching couples experience this beautiful place for the first time is one of my favorite things!
