KelsaMae Photography is a Southeast Alaska wedding and elopement photography business based in Petersburg, Alaska.
Hi, I’m Kelsa Mae, a born-and-raised Southeast Alaskan who comes from a fourth-generation Alaska fishing family. My photography style is cinematic and documentary-inspired. I love blending gentle direction with honest moments and movement while capturing true emotion. I photograph intimate weddings, elopements, and love stories for couples who want their day to feel adventurous, personal, and deeply connected to the landscape around them.
Before fully committing my time to photography, I spent seven years working on the water, traveling through Southeast Alaska’s towns, harbors, Inside Passage waterways, and quiet little coves. That time on the water gave me a deep appreciation for Alaska’s weather, tides, landscapes, and way of life, and it helps me guide couples toward locations that feel beautiful, meaningful, and true to this place.
Whether it’s a hometown wedding, boat-access elopement, or mountaintop ceremony, my focus is preserving the overall feeling of the day: the laughter, the weather, the quiet in-between moments, and the wild beauty that surrounds it all. I love to travel and am always up for an adventure, especially when it means helping couples create memories that feel true to them.
