Our Story
I founded Halcyon Photography out of a love for storytelling, art, and a deep connection to the wild places that raised me. Growing up in Alaska shaped the way I see the world — full of light, texture, and emotion. Out here, everything tells a story: the land, the weather, and the people who call it home. That sense of wonder and connection is what guides my work every day.
For me, photography is art — it’s more than taking beautiful pictures; it’s about capturing the soul behind every story. The real, the raw, and the perfectly imperfect moments that make life feel alive. My work blends fine art and documentary photography to create imagery that doesn’t just show what something looked like, but what it felt like — the emotion, the energy, the fleeting magic of a moment.
With a degree in photography and a background in fashion and commercial work, I’ve learned how to see beauty in every kind of light. Whether it’s a mountaintop elopement, a wild Alaskan wedding, or a quiet studio session, I approach each story with intention and artistry. Every image I create is personal — a reflection of love, connection, and the world as I see it.
I believe photography can change how we see the world — and my goal is to change how you see it. That might sound unexpected coming from a wedding photographer, but I believe deeply in the power of love. Love for each other, for our planet, and for the moments that make life feel whole. Love is one of the most powerful forces on this earth, and through my work, I aim to capture what love looks and feels like — one photo at a time.
