Our Story
Hi, I’m Emmie (short for Emelia)—an Alaska wedding and elopement photographer for adventurous, joy-filled couples.
I’ve called Alaska home nearly my entire life, and I never stop being amazed by its beauty – the roar of calving glaciers, the pull of river currents, the magic of a golden summer night. Photography is where two of my favorite things collide: happy people and the wild, untamed backdrop of this incredible state.
My style leans toward authentic and photojournalistic. I don’t believe in stiff, staged poses – I believe in laughter, connection, and the in-between moments that tell the real story of your love. More than just a photographer, I’m your adventure buddy and extra set of hands – ready to pour champagne, fix a boutonniere, or wrangle a dress in a mountain breeze.
I fell in love with photographing weddings after my own in 2018, when I realized how powerful it is to feel truly seen and cared for by the person behind the camera. That’s what I hope to give each couple I work with: an experience that feels easy, genuine, and unforgettable.
When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me road-tripping with my husband Joe (who often second-shoots with me), hanging out with our daughter Cora, or sneaking away for a little fishing trip.
