Our Story
My name is Portia Hall. I photographed my first wedding in 2023, and I was hooked. I love the romance, the energy and the shenanigans that are all part of the celebration. I am always amazed at the depth of emotion, from the nervous anticipation before the ceremony to the overwhelming love emanating from the couple as they gaze into each other’s eyes and recite vows from the depths of their souls. I honestly even tear up myself as I guide them through their ceremony. My favorite wedding moment, whether I’m officiating or photographing is when I pull the couple into a private room to sign the license. After they’ve both put their signatures on the document, there is a look between the bride and groom and in that instant, I can literally watch the stress melt from their faces. That moment of realization that everything they have planned and worked so hard for has culminated into a beautiful ceremony with all of their loved ones. There is no more worry for whether each fork and knife were exactly spaced, every bouquet perfectly identical, the best man’s tie being on crooked or the caterer arriving ten minutes late. In that moment everything is perfect, and I feel overwhelmed and honored to be a witness to their new beginning.
