Our Story
Woodrow is a high-energy Rock-n-Roll band that blends Blues, Country, and Soul music. Since 2008 this 4-piece band has been getting audiences movin’ and groovin’ all over the state of Alaska. They provide live music, emcee services, and DJ music that will surely make your big day super fun and low stress. Woodrow strives to provide all-inclusive entertainment; sound reinforcement, stage and dance floor lighting, amplification for the ceremony, uplighting and emcee duties are all covered. If your ceremony is taking place in a remote location, no problem- a sound system for amplifying the vows and music can be provided in any location.
A wedding is a multi-generational event, and Woodrow is great at playing a mix of classic songs as well as top 40 hits. Woodrow has the right music to cover all of the formalities of your wedding. Thinking about instrumental guitar and violin for the ceremony? How about a mellow acoustic set for the cocktail hour? A rockin’ full band to pack the dance floor? Woodrow has you covered. First dance songs from the band’s repertoire can also be performed live.
As a hard-working Alaskan band, Woodrow has logged many miles traveling throughout the state. They have performed their music for crowds from Juneau to Fairbanks, and everywhere in between.
Jared Woods, the singer/guitar player in the band can also do weddings as a solo act for smaller venues and elopements.
Woodrow has the experience of performing at over 400 weddings and corporate events. Past clients include Microsoft, GCI, Kaladi Bros. Coffee, ConocoPhillips, Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, Anchorage Downtown Partnership and many others.
